Self Service Fuel at Paine Field

Earlier this month a construction crew arrived at Paine Field to begin installing a Self-Service fuel system for Castle & Cooke at the site of the old Self-Service fuel system.  This is a welcome sign for those of us who have had difficulty in getting fuel at Paine Field in a timely manner.  At least there will be more options again.  I understand that the system being installed will only hold 3,000 gallons of fuel which seems a little light given the number of airplanes at Paine Field.  We will have to wait and see how this works out in practice.  Hopefully this will alleviate the problems that many of us experienced all summer long where the wait times for the truck were sometimes measured in hours or fuel was just not available at all on some days.
