Hi Everyone! Once again, I find myself publishing a multi-month newsletter this summer. All I can say is that y’all aren’t the only ones who can’t wait until we can safely get back to normal without risking our friends and family.
For those who rely upon the The Paine Flyer for their events schedule: My apologies! With the vast majority of events unfortunately canceled for the remainder of the year I hope my inability to get a newsletter out every month hasn’t left you in a lurch.
Two months ago it was looking like the fall would have more of a resemblance of normalcy for us all but that seems to be a fleeting idea at this point, always staying on the horizon. Every plane that flies overhead (even the big boys) has me craning to see what “show” I’m going to get to have for the day, all while lamenting not being able to find the time to finish a flight review.
Here’s hoping everyone is continuing to stay safe and while having some fun despite the stir-craziness that I’m sure all of us share at this point. As you may have seen on the chapter Facebook group and the various chapter-wide emails that have been sent out, since many of our favorite fly-ins have been canceled this summer, the leadership is working on getting together some events where we can make up for some of the isolation that we’ve been forced to endure. When those events occur, I’ll hopefully have some photos to share for the next newsletter.
As always, if you have any articles or news items that you want to disseminate to the membership, don’t hesitate to send them to email@example.com and I’ll do what I can to get them in the next newsletter (whenever it comes out)!
Safe Flying! See you in the skies!
